The BACOLOD TAY TUNG HIGH SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN aims to serve the young learners in the most dynamic, developmental and enjoyable manner of education, living the vision of maturity in intellect, morality, social skills, aesthetic sense and physical well-being. To provide balanced quality education is a commitment done by raising the young learners’ interest in the study and appreciation of the Chinese and English disciplines. The Kindergarten is envisioned to be a model in the Philippines , committed to an upgraded quality standard offering and a haven for young learners to grow in the likeness of a home they loved to enjoy.

 

Structural Ecology


  • New plushy building designed to suit a home-like garden paradise and house state-of-the-art kindergarten facilities.
  • Fourteen (14) activity and function rooms, fully air-conditioned, fully equipped with books, toys, tool appliances and implements.

Kindergarten Guidelines and Policy


  • Attendance
    1. A written excuse is required each time a child is absent, tardy, or is to be dismissed early.
    2. Children who are not feeling well are advised to stay at home and rest.
    3. On the day the child is absent, parents are required to call the school office so that the school/teacher is informed of the child’s absence.
    4. Absence and tardiness are reflected on the Progress Report Card every quarter.
    5. Parents are responsible to follow up lessons or assignments missed by the child due to absences.
    6. Perfect Attendance is encouraged.
       
  • Birthdays and Celebrations
    1. Hosting/Celebrating birthdays within the school premises is discouraged.
    2. Only birthday treats ( e.g. giveaways, goodie bags, packed foods) are allowed and can be distributed only during dismissal.
    3. Please notify the teacher in advance with a written note/letter regarding the event a day before.
    4. To inculcate in the child’s mind the value of frugality, lavish food preparations during holidays or special occasions are strongly discouraged.
       
  • Coming-in/Dismissal
    1. Children may enter the Kindergarten building at 7: 30 AM for the Morning Session and 12: 30 PM for the Afternoon Session.
    2. Parents/Guardians are requested to leave the classroom by the time the bell rings.
    3. Parents/Guardians are also requested to leave the Kindergarten building when the exercises/play activities are done.
    4. Pre – Nursery pupils will be dismissed by 10 : 30 AM.
    5. Nursery pupils will be dismissed by 11: 00 AM  for the Morning Session and 4: 00 PM for the Afternoon Session.
    6. Kinder 1 and Kinder 2 pupils will be dismissed by 11: 15 AM for the Morning Session and 4: 15 PM for  the Afternoon Session.
    7. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to bring and fetch their children on time.
    8. Pupils will be turned over to their parents / guardians personally by the respective advisers at the Kindergarten Main Entrance. Nobody is allowed to stay in the premises starting 11: 30 AM – 12:30 PM and 4: 30 PM onwards. Classrooms and playground are to be cleaned.
    9. Children will not be dismissed to anyone without their fetcher’s I.D. If it is unavoidable for someone else to pick up the child, the school teacher must be notified in advance and proper identification will be strictly required from the authorized fetcher.
       
  • Dress Code
    1. Pupils should wear the proper and complete prescribed uniform.
      Monday – Thursday ( school uniform- boys with black belt and polo shirt must be tucked in).
      Friday – P.E. Uniform.
    2. Parents/Guardians should avoid wearing revealing/provocative clothes (e.g. Short shorts, mini-skirts, spaghetti- strapped and plunging neckline shirts.
  • Homework
    1. Homework will be given out  Monday – Thursday.
       
  • Valuables/Money/Toys
    1. When money is sent to school for any purpose, it should be placed in an envelope with the child’s name. Otherwise, children are discouraged to bring money to school.
    2. Children are also discouraged to bring valuable items to school
      ( e.g. jewelry, cell phone )
    3. Toys are not to be brought to school unless required for their classroom activity.
       
  • Other Matter
    1. Playtime in the playground is scheduled for 15 minutes only every Friday. A guardian /parent must supervise the child while at play.
    2. The Kinder building is closed at 5: 00 PM. Children must be fetched at/before 4: 30 PM.
    3. For reasons of health and sanitation, the comfort rooms inside the Kinder building are ONLY for the students and staff using the building. Others may use the CR at the waiting area.

 

Admission Guidelines


Age Requirement

Nursery
  • 3 1/2 to 4 years & 5 months.
Kinder I
  • 4 1/2 to 5 years & 8 months.
Kinder II/Preparatory
  • 5 years & 9 months to 6 years old up.

 

Document Requirements:


  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate (For newcomers and transferees).
  • Photocopy of Certification or Progress Report Card from school last attended.
  • Personal Interview and Child Evaluation.
  • Photocopy of Alien Certificate of Residence/ A.C.R.-for non Filipino citizens only.

Please bring original copies of Birth Certificate, A.C.R. and Progress Report Card for verification.
